Patrick Borchard serves as chief financial officer of Pangea Properties in Chicago. The real estate investment trust (REIT) is privately held and primarily pursues investments in distressed Class B and Class C residential properties. His firm currently manages more than 10,000 apartments in Chicago, Indianapolis and Baltimore, most of which have been newly rehabilitated and renovated. Over the past several years, Pangea Properties has completed over $150 million in construction. Patrick Borchard guides the firm’s finance, accounting, risk management, and insurance functions. He leads the leveraged finance function and is responsible for investor relations and communication.
Mr. Borchard completed his bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Notre Dame and double majored in finance and accounting. He gained experience as senior director and P&L leader with Enova International, Inc. (Cash America International’s US Internet lending division) where he oversaw the management and development of internal applications and the online business engine. Prior to that, Mr. Borchard was a director with consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal.
In his free time, Patrick Borchard is a dedicated Phish fan who enjoys playing guitars such as his Fender Strat Plus electric or Martin D-28 acoustic. He also enjoys cooking, the arts and spending time with his family.
